Cory and Jessica

While I truly enjoy capturing everyone’s wedding day, it gives me great honor to be able to forever freeze in time a special day for wonderful friends. I’ve known Cory and Jessica for a few years and was beyond excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding. It was to be a backyard wedding at Jessica’s sister’ s hou

se in Ottumwa. The ceremony was set to be right at sunset with the reception immediately after. The weather was perfect, love was in the air, and it was the most perfect of perfect days. Congratulations to you both and thank you so much for entrusting me to capture what you will hopefully remember as one of the best days of your lives.

Candace and Tim

Candace and Tim had a beautiful wedding on August 6, 2011. Their ceremony was at one of my favorite churches, St Peter and Paul historic church outside of Solon, IA. Their reception followed at the elegant Hotel Vetro in Iowa City, IA which provided an intim

ate atmosphere for a fabulous reception.

Eric and Jessica Wedding

July 23, 2011 will be remembered by Eric and Jessica for not only how hot

and humid it was, but more importantly what a beautiful ceremony and reception they had. Their ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Jester Park Lodge just north of Des Moines in Granger, IA. They planned every detail and made their day unique to them. Many thanks to Eric and Jessica for making us a part of their special day!

Adam and Rachel

Adam and Rachel had a beautiful ceremony at the lovely Red Haw Shelter at F.W. Kent Park on July 9, 2011. As you would expect for July, it was hot and a bit humid. Mother nature provided the couple and their guests with some welcomed cloud cover during the ceremony which quickly disappeared afterward.

Their reception followed at the wonderful Festhalle Barn in Amana. This barn is one of my favorite reception venues. While it lacks air conditioning and running water, it has an abundance of charm and provides a great setting for celebrating a marriage. Congratulations, Rachel and Adam!

Jim and Courtney Wedding

Jim and Courtney were married on July 2, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Iowa City.

This church was absolutely beautiful to photograph with it’s unique balcony that extends across the back of the chapel and all the way down both sides. Their reception followed at the Sheraton Hotel starting with a cocktail hour and then on to the reception. Congratulations, Jim and Courtney!

I was assisted by two wonderful photographers for this wedding. Many thanks to Claire McGranahan and Shuva Rahim for their help capturing many amazing photos!
